Just twenty paces away sat an elderly woman sheltering two young children under a torn tarp, wrapped in frayed rags, watching the celebrations from the shadows.
When approached with a simple warm meal box, her eyes welled up with tears: “Everyone honors the goddess up there, but few remember that hunger lives down here.”
That moment solidified our mission: Navratri cannot merely remain a festival of lit lamps within sanctuary walls while young children and mothers on our pavements remain overlooked. Shakti Se Poshan Tak was founded to serve the living manifestations of Maa Durga across our communities.

The Commitment: From Day 1 (Pratipada) through Day 10 (Vijayadashami), our kitchen and logistics teams sponsor and deliver nutritious, freshly cooked festive meals daily for the orphaned children.
