This Maharashtra Day and Kamgar Diwas (May 1st), Sukachi Sawali Welfare Foundation invites you to honor the relentless spirit of our state and its hardworking people. Let us celebrate by giving back to those who toil on the streets and bringing smiles to children who need it the most.
Let’s stand together this Maharashtra Day to become the “Sukachi Sawali” (Shade of Happiness) for those scorching in the heat of poverty.
Kamgar Diwas celebrates the dignity of labor, yet ironically, thousands of daily wage laborers and street dwellers struggle to secure a single square meal for their families. Their hard work often goes unnoticed and unrewarded. Furthermore, orphaned children at shelters like Matruchaya Balak Ashram often miss out on the celebratory feasts and familial warmth that such state holidays bring.
There is a profound need to bridge this gap. By providing a month’s worth of basic sustenance to families and a day of joy to children, we are not just giving food; we are acknowledging their existence, validating their struggles, and showing them that society cares.
To create a massive, tangible impact, we have set a minimum donation request of Rs 2,400. We have carefully designed these packages to ensure your contribution reaches both families on the streets and children at the ashram simultaneously.
Cost Breakdown:
1 Grocery Packet (Feeds a family): Rs 1,000
1 Special Meal (For an orphan child): Rs 200
| Donation Tier | Amount (Rs) | Direct Impact (What Your Money Buys) |

Kamgar Diwas (Worker’s Day) is a celebration of the labor force that serves as the backbone of our society. Yet,thousands of daily wage laborers and street-dwelling families struggle daily just to secure a single meal. Furthermore, children growing up without parents often feel the sting of isolation during major state festivals.
This initiative bridges the gap between celebration and survival. It recognizes that the highest tribute we can pay to the spirit of Maharashtra is ensuring that its most marginalized citizens—the hardworking poor and destitute children—are not left behind to go hungry.
At Sukachi Sawali Welfare Foundation, your trust is our foundation. We vow to maintain 100% transparency with every rupee donated:
Direct Impact: Zero administrative deductions from your donation; every rupee goes directly to the groceries and meals.
Visual Proof: All donors will receive a post-event digital booklet containing photos and videos of the grocery distribution on the streets and the smiling faces at Matruchaya Balak Ashram. 📸
Financial Accountability: Official receipts and a complete breakdown of funds spent will be shared with all contributors within 7 days of the event’s completion. 🧾
