Holi is universally celebrated as the festival of colors, marking the triumph of good, the arrival of spring, and the joy of togetherness. Yet, amidst the vibrant clouds of gulal and the festive feasts, there are little hands that remain empty and little faces that have never known the carefree joy of this festival.
This Holi, Sukachi Sawali Welfare Foundation invites you to become the color in a child’s black-and-white world. Let us replace their hunger with a hearty meal and their solitude with the safe, joyous splash of organic colors.
The core purpose of this event is simple yet profound: Inclusivity in Celebration. We believe no child should feel forgotten during a festival that celebrates life. Our goal is to bridge the gap between privilege and poverty, ensuring that orphaned children and kids living on the harsh streets get to experience the warmth of a loving meal and the innocent thrill of playing with safe, organic colors.
On March 3rd, 2026, our volunteers will mobilize across two major cities to deliver your love:
Matruchaya Balak Ashram, Dighi, Pune: We will be hosting a grand, festive feast for the orphaned children residing at the ashram. Volunteers will serve them a delicious, nutritious special meal, sit with them, share stories, and ensure they feel the warmth of a family on a day they miss it the most.
The Streets of Mumbai: Simultaneously, our Mumbai task force will take to the streets, reaching out to the most vulnerable small children at traffic signals, under bridges, and in slums. We will distribute specially curated festive packets containing highly nutritious food (enough to feed 3 children per packet) along with safe, skin-friendly organic colors so they can play without harm.
To maximize our reach, we have bundled the joy! Every donation slab directly impacts both the orphans in Pune and the street children in Mumbai.
Cost Breakdown:
1 Special Meal (Orphan in Pune): ₹200
1 Festive Packet (Food for 3 Street Kids + Organic Color in Mumbai): ₹500

When you donate to this cause, you aren’t just giving money; you are giving a memory.
You provide dignity: A warm, special meal served with respect tells an orphan they are valued.
You protect their health: The organic colors ensure that street children, who lack access to proper healthcare and clean bathing water, can play safely without skin infections.
You create childhoods: For a few hours, a child on the street forgets their daily struggles and gets to just be a child—laughing, playing, and eating a full meal.
Imagine the smile on a little girl’s face when she tastes a sweet treat she thought she’d never have. Imagine the giggles of a young boy as he throws bright yellow organic color into the air, his belly full and his heart happy.
You have the power to make this happen. By contributing a minimum of ₹1,600, you are directly touching the lives of 9 beautiful children across Pune and Mumbai. Let’s not just wish each other a “Happy Holi” this year—let’s make it a Happy Holi for those who need it most.
Open your hearts, extend your hands, and let the Sukachi Sawali (shadow of happiness) fall upon these little angels.
Holi is celebrated as the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring. But beyond the vibrant powders and festive sweets, the truest colors of Holi are compassion, love, and unity. The philosophy of our event is simple: Joy multiplies only when it is shared. While many of us are privileged to celebrate with our families, thousands of children look at the festivities from the outside. We believe that no child should be left out of the celebration, and by sharing our resources,we can become the brightest colors in their lives.
Your generosity does more than fill an empty stomach; it fills a young heart with hope. A special meal at the ashram replaces a regular day with a lasting, joyful memory. For the children on the streets, receiving organic colors and a fresh food packet means they are seen, valued, and included in society’s celebrations. You are not just donating money; you are donating a childhood memory that they will treasure forever.
Imagine the gleam in the eyes of a child who rarely gets a full meal, suddenly receiving a plate of festive food. Think of the pure, unfiltered laughter of a street child tossing safe, colorful powder into the air, holding a food packet they didn’t have to beg for.
These children do not ask for much—just a little color, a little food, and the knowledge that someone out there cares about them. This Holi, when you buy colors and sweets for your family, please set aside a little for those who have no family but us.
Let your kindness be the “Sukachi Sawali” (Shadow of Happiness) that protects and nurtures them. Be the reason a child smiles this Holi.
Join hands with the Sukachi Sawali Welfare Foundation today. Let’s make this Holi unforgettable for them! 🌺✨
